This course provides basic training in the Lexipontix Therapy Programme. It presents the theoretical principles, content, material and structure of the Lexipontix Programme and links theory to practice. It introduces the programme’s theoretical framework, principles and clinical practices, integrating Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Speech Management Techniques within the Lexipontix structure. It emphasizes how to build therapeutic alliances, the rationale for selecting specific Modules, and how to tailor therapy in line with the child’s and family’s Best Hopes and resources –their unique strengths and experiences.
Participants gain full access to the Lexipontix Therapy materials – printed forms, illustrations, videos, storybooks, cards, and board or online games – and receive guidance on preparing and using them in practice.
This course prepares participants to progress to the next advanced stage of training: Level 3: Clinical Application
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand the theoretical framework of the clinical tools and practices used in Lexipontix Therapy (namely PCI, CBT, Speech Management, and SFBT).
- Become familiar with the content, timing and clinical application of each of the modules used in Lexipontix Therapy.
- Become familiar with the Lexipontix Therapy materials and gain hands-on experience playing with the Lexipontix card games (both hard copy and online).
- Understand the clinical rationale behind the activation of Lexipontix Therapy modules and to be able to select the appropriate modules for each client based on individual needs.
- Enhance the knowledge, skills, competencies and mindsets required to apply the Lexipontix Therapy with school-age children who stutter and their families.
- Develop readiness for Level 3 training, leading to the clinical application of the Lexipontix Therapy Programme.

FAQ
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Level 1 Lexipontix Assessment Protocol (LAP) course is a requirement. While some clinical experience in applying the LAP with clients is recommended, it is not mandatory.
Licensing
- Speech and language therapists who successfully complete this course may apply clinical practices of the Lexipontix Therapy Programme with clients and are granted licence to use Volume II: Lexipontix Therapy Forms and Materials only for clinical purposes. However, application of the Lexipontix Programme with clients requires completion of the Level 3 course, Clinical Application.
